Zubin P. Noria

Zubin Noria is the Chief Operating Officer of the North Toronto Sleep Centre, one of the GTA’s largest and most prominent sleep diagnostic facility. In addition, Zubin is the Co-owner and Director of Operations of Hospital Alliance Group; a Hospital-Based medical diagnostic and consulting partnership, where he guides the company’s strategic vision.  He is also the Co-founder and Managing Director of Sleep Longevity Group; a national multi-level Sleep-Diagnostic, interpreting and consulting services platform. Zubin is a seasoned transformation leader, with broad expertise in project management, process improvement, and leadership development. He is committed to achieving seamless clinical patient experiences, while fostering work environments, that are conducive to employee growth and cohesive work cultures.

Dr. Sunil Bhalla M.D. FRCPC

Dr. Bhalla is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He did his Internal Medicine training in Chicago, Illinois at the University of Illinois Chicago. He later trained in Nephrology at Memorial University in St. John’s Newfoundland. After working in the field of Nephrology for a number of years he pursued an interest in Sleep Medicine and did a year long fellowship at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Miqdad Bohra M.D. FRCPC MBBS, MRCPsych

Dr Bohra is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists UK. He has trained at the University of Toronto in sleep medicine and trained in behavioural sleep medicine at the University of Glasgow, UK. He has a special interest in assessment and treatment of insomnia and behavioural interventions for improving adherence to treatment of sleep disorder breathing

Dr. Chris Chan M.D. FRCPC, DABIM, FACP, FCCP

Recognized as a sleep medicine specialist by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Dr. Chan is a fellow of the World Sleep Society. He is a RCPSC specialist in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Post-graduate training was at the University of Toronto and Saint Louis University in USA. Dr. Chan holds board certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is an active staff physician at William Osler Health System, and an assistant Clinical Professor (adjunct) in the Division of Critical Care at McMaster University.

Dr. Michael Mak

Prior to transitioning to Toronto, Michael Mak was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine (cross-appointed) at Western University in London, Ontario. He received his MD from Queen’s University in Kingston, and subsequently completed his Psychiatry residency and fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Western University. He worked in the Sleep Medicine Clinic at London Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Mak is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and an Adjunct Research Professor at Western University. He serves on the Education Committee of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Christopher Humphreys MD, FRCPC, DRCPSC

Dr. Christopher Humphreys received his medical degree from McMaster University and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at The University of Calgary. He completed his Respirology fellowship at the University of Toronto. He is a RCPSC specialist in Internal Medicine and Respirology. He completed his sleep fellowship at McMaster University and is a diplomate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Humphreys also practices at Toronto Grace Hospital, with a particular interest in Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and serves as the president of the Toronto Grace Medical Association.

Dr. Jane Yuan M.D. FRCPC

Dr. Yuan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She has completed General Internal Medicine and specialized in Respirology from The University of Toronto. She is also ABIM Certified in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Yuan practices at The Scarborough Hospital and her particular area of interest is Respiratory Dysfunction during sleep.

Dr. Marc Sherkin

Dr. Sherkin graduated from medical school at University of Toronto. He subsequently completed a respirology fellowship which included sleep medicine at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Sherkin brings over 35 years of respirology and sleep medicine experience to North Toronto Sleep Centre.

Adult Neurology/ Neuropsychiatry/ Sleep Medicine

Dr. Arina Bingeliene, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Arina Bingeliene is an Adult Neurologist and Sleep Specialist, with an interest in the overlap between Neurology and Sleep Disorders.  She received her medical degree from Riga Stradins University in Latvia. She completed Adult Neurology residency program, including two years of training in Pediatric Neurology in her alma mater before moving to Canada. She previously did Clinical and Research work at the Sleep and Mood Disorders Research in 2012-2014 at Sleep and Alertness Clinic, Toronto, Canada. She then completed a 3-year Neuropsychiatry and Sleep Fellowship program at Toronto Western Hospital – University Health Network, 2014-2017, followed by the completion of a 5-year Adult Neurology residency training program, 2017-2022, both at the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in Sleep Medicine, looking after pediatric and adult population patients. She started her independent practice in Canada in 2022 with focus on pain and sleep medicine. She practices a holistic approach to medicine and patient well-being, focused on the connection between body, mind, and mood, believing that our dreams can be key to understanding and healing many neuropsychiatry issues.

Dr. Berge Marcarian M.D. RCPSC

Dr. Marcarian is a graduate from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and obtained specialty training in Otolaryngology(ENT) from Dalhousie University, Halifax. He is also certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology with a subspecialty in Sleep Medicine. NTSC is very pleased to have his particular expertise for our Sleep Disorder patients.

Dr. Sirar Ibrahim M.D, ABIM, FRCPC

Dr. Ibrahim is a graduate of Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto as well as Respirology training at McGill University. He has been practicing in Sleep Medicine since 2017. Dr. Ibrahim holds board certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.

Dr. Ravinder Mankoo M.D. FRCP(C), Psychiatrist

Dr. Mankoo completed his residency at the University of Ottawa and his sleep medicine training was under Dr. Colin Shapiro at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Jung Chee M.D. CM, FRCPC

Dr. Chee is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal where he graduated as a physician specializing in Respirology and Sleep Medicine. He has been practicing in Sleep Medicine for over 10 years and brings a wealth of experience to the North Toronto Sleep Centre. Dr. Chee is Certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in Respirology & Internal Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.

David Anderson RPSGT, RST

As the Technical Director, David brings over 30 years of technical experience to NTSC. He oversees the entire technical division of the clinic. David’s attention to detail and strong training and development skills provide all staff the knowledge and tools for the acquisition of comprehensive sleep data important for diagnosing and treating sleep related disorders while being respectful to the patient’s needs. Under David’s leadership, the clinic upholds the highest standard of technical and patient care as outlined by the CPSO Quality Assurance guidelines.

Laura Seed M.Sc., RCPT

Laura Seed graduated from the University of Guelph with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She has been Registered with the Canadian Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Technologist for over 30 years. Laura began her career as a Pulmonary Technologist at St. Michael’s Hospital. She was hired as manager of the Sleep and Pulmonary Function Labs at the Hospital for Sick Children and is now working again as a Pulmonary Technologist. Working with both the adult and pediatric populations puts Laura in a unique position to work and teach in labs of either population. Laura is presently the President of the Canadian Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Technologists.
